Sport-specific training is essentially goal-specific training. This is why we first need to know an athlete’s deeper motivations, the skill set she or he wants to enhance, and the specific position they play. Then, we can effectively and efficiently help them reach their goals in the sport for which they want to excel.
Sports specific training leads to better performance, lower injury risk and increased competitive longevity.
The Art of Fitness is founded on the belief that growth in an athlete’s skills, confidence and mindset stem from education, preparation and dedication. Our goal is to guide each athlete on how best to approach the game and believe in their power to continuously improve and contribute positively to their team.
By keeping athletes healthy and strong, sport specific training makes their body more efficient at performing the movements involved in playing their sport of choice. This means that when an athlete goes back out onto the field, court, track or another place they compete, their body will be able to handle more work with less chance of getting injured or tired, which also gives you more of a competitive edge.
We also work with coaches to support and springboard the philosophies that they have instilled in each of their players. Our main goal is to help athletes perform at their best by building resilience, embracing challenges, learning new skills, and viewing effort as a path to success.
